If you're on mobile you have to tap along the outer edge of the wall in DHC (and pause tapping to skip over side paths) to run past the mobs. I make about 50k gold per 20-25 second run with a 200% currency booster. Run on normal (rather than heroic or legendary) because the gold difference is negligible between difficulties. You should have extra gold on every piece of gear (greens are fine) and EG+movement speed on boots and pants. You just need to make a gold farmer to fund it.
