There's a big difference between someone not wanting cartoon ships in the game, and refusing to allow those same players play the missions if they want to refuse to accept the reward for those missions. There's a VAST difference to me between trying to fill a whole in the tech tree with non-existent ship and doing cartoon ships, so long as the devs are trying to stay true to the spirit of the history, even if not to the actual facts.Īnd there's nothing wrong in my book with including ships that were cancelled (for various real world reasons), like the Montana or the 1920's South Dakotas and Lexingtons, or the Tosas and Amagis. While I don't care much, if at all, about the ARP ships themselves, I do like doing the missions for no other reason than I like doing missions in this game. To be honest, I'd be pi ssed if they did that.
